The political season in Kenya is finally coming to a close. Months of upbeat campaigns and colourful advertisements plastered on billboards and posters on roadsides and across our cities and towns. There is no doubt. The display of persuasive faces and slogans has enlivened our daily lives. Imagery is a powerful tool of expression and identity. It paints a picture of the person and their personality and breathes life into the visible and invisible. Imagery means everything to any publicity mission.
Versatile Photographers acknowledge that imagery can make or break a political campaign. As such, we have worked overtime to deliver the most compelling, high-quality images for political branding these past few months. We have covered some of the most prominent figures in the country, producing content that ended up on tens of billboards across Kenya. Years of experience in portraiture came in handy to help us deliver the most professional portraits for our esteemed clients. Creative photographers John Kamau and Titus Murabu did a great job under the guidance of lead photographer and CEO David Macharia. They worked around the clock in the studio and on-location, ensuring the portraits were ready on time.

They have no option but to capture the most precise shots that emphasise personality and emotion in the best way possible. The lighting used must not interfere with the details. A simple but catchy background is preferable. The photographer must create a rapport with the client to boost their confidence and morale before the camera. It not only eases their nerves but also accentuates the liveliest side of their personality—something a consumer of billboards wants to see. The resulting high-quality images are an impressive array of portraits that define and endorse the political player in a thousand words.
